Activation of your prepaid card

You can easily activate your prepaid card in the MeinMagenta app.

You need...

  • The MeinMagenta app on your device.
  • Your German national ID card, passport, or residence permit. Note: Temporary identification documents are not supported.
  • A tablet or smartphone with a camera and a stable internet connection.

You don't have the app...

and are a Telekom customer?

  1. Open the MeinMagenta app and log in.
  2. Click the user icon in the top right corner and select “Activate prepaid card”.
  3. Enter your details and follow the subsequent steps. Please have your valid ID ready.

and aren't a Telekom customer yet?

  1. Please download the MeinMagenta app and open the app.
  2. Click on “Become a customer...” and then select “Activate new prepaid card.”
  3. Create an account and follow the subsequent steps. Please have your valid ID ready.
